The short version: we use Google sign-in only to know that each person votes once. We store your name, email and profile picture from Google, and which players you voted for. Nobody else sees your votes, including other voters, players and teams. We never sell your information.
Who we are
This website (jakartaflagfootball.com and its subdomains, such as playbook.jakartaflagfootball.com) is run by Jakarta Flag Football (JFF), a flag football community in Jakarta, Indonesia. If you have a question about your information, contact us on Instagram at @jakartaflagfootball.
What we collect
- Your Google account basics: name, email address and profile picture. We get these when you choose "Sign in with Google." We do not get your Google password, contacts, Gmail, Drive or anything else.
- Your votes: which player you picked in each Player of the Week category, and when.
- Sign-in cookie: a cookie named
jff-auththat keeps you signed in across JFF pages. - Website analytics: like most websites, we use Google Analytics to count visits and see which pages are popular. It uses its own cookies and does not identify you by name.
- Public roster information: player names, nicknames, jersey numbers, positions and teams, as provided by teams for JFF competitions.
How we use it
- To let you vote and make sure each person votes only once per category per week.
- To show live vote totals on the voting page. Only totals are shown, never who voted for whom.
- To announce Player of the Week winners.
- To keep you signed in across JFF pages, so you don't have to sign in again on each one.
We do not sell your information, use it for advertising, or send you marketing emails.
Who can see it
- Other visitors: only the vote totals. They can't see your name, email or your individual votes.
- JFF organizers (admins): they manage voting rounds and see results. The admin tools show vote totals, not who voted for whom.
- Service providers: we store data with Supabase (our database and sign-in provider). Sign-in uses Google, and the website is hosted on GitHub Pages. They process data only to run these services.
How long we keep it
We keep your account and votes while JFF voting is running so results stay accurate. Old voting rounds may be deleted at the end of a season. You can ask us to delete your account at any time (see below).
Your choices
- Sign out any time on the voting page. This removes the sign-in cookie from your browser.
- Delete your data: message us at @jakartaflagfootball with the email you signed in with, and we'll delete your account and votes.
- Remove JFF's access to your Google account at myaccount.google.com/connections.
- Players: if you'd like your roster details changed or removed, contact your team captain or message us.
Changes
If we change how we use your information, we'll update this page and the date at the top.
